Description
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Silicone) - Weekend Nights to join our team in Middlesex, NC!
This is a weekend position that will work overnight from 6 pm - 6:30 am, Friday - Sunday night.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.04 per hour.

## What you’ll do:
The Machine Operator (Silicone) is responsible for running operations in the silicone department which includes but is not limited to splicing and cleaning braided hose, extruding cleaned hose, and packing finished product.

In this role, you will:
- Locate hose to be spliced/cleaned based on schedule
- Operate crimper to splice end of hose together
- Set up and operate ultrasonic cleaner and adhesion tank according to set up sheets
- Move reels of hose to applicable areas of facility
- Set up, operate and monitor extrusion line: Set up equipment according to Silicone Extrusion Checklist; check the condition of required tooling; install correct tooling and adjust tooling as necessary
- Clean up after a run: remove, clean, and inspect tooling. If the tooling is in good working condition, return to the tooling cabinet. If not, contact Engineering.
- Change over: remove excessive silicone material (in equipment/on parts) from last run and reinstall cleaned parts/tooling
- Flush coils of hose in TP tester
- Packing: Inspect hose to make sure that specifications are met. Coil and tag the hose to prepare it for shipping. May place in crate or box based on packing specifications.
- Crane/Hoist Operation: Operators must safely operate the crane/hoist to transport poles and product through the department.
- Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area.
- Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.
- Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on process routers.
- Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
- Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
- Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
- Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using hand tools and measuring devices
- Minimum of 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing
