Titan America has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor located in Richmond, VA. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for overseeing and managing the warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. This position will also coordinate maintenance needs and maintain systems for an accurate recorded history of fleet and plant repairs, parts, maintenance and labor.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the receiving, proper storage, retrieval and timely issuance of equipment and parts to plant operations
- Maintain the system for an accurate, recorded history of fleet and plant repairs, parts, maintenance and labor
- Enter repair order information into SAP system such as unit numbers, shop, system, symptom, reason for repair, duration of repair and the tasks necessary to complete the repair
- Implement best practices for proper storage of inventory parts with frequent periodic inspections to ensure proper condition, prevent deterioration from weather conditions (for parts stored outside) or aging.
- Determine proper layout for safe and efficient storage of parts and equipment
- Conduct periodic physical counts and frequent cycle counting of parts to ensure no discrepancies with the electronic records of the inventory management system
- Replenish inventory according to the set MIN/MAX levels
- Produce regular reports and statistics on major KPI’s related to the warehouse operation as well as to identify opportunities for optimizing the inventory levels according to the current and future plant needs
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse team (receiving, tagging, shelving and issuing of inventories)
- Maintain proper housekeeping conditions of the warehouse facilities, ensure security of the building and inventory, as well as the safety of employees working or visiting the areas
- Maintain and control parts inventory including arranging for purchases utilizing established procedures
- Coordinate with other departments and personnel for proper and timely paperwork
- Assist staff with special projects
- Review and file DOT vehicle inspection reports
Assist the staff with maintenance cost reporting
Qualifications
Qualifications & Critical Success Factors:
- A college degree in related fields preferred or equivalent experience in maintenance, warehouse, and inventory
- Fleet maintenance knowledge required, basic knowledge of maintenance and equipment required
- Minimum five years of previous experience in warehouse management, logistics, and inventory control, preferably in industrial facilities
- Excellent Computer skills in MS Office
- Experience with Asset or Maintenance Management Software Systems is required (e.g. SAP)
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills, a continuous improvement mentality, ability to understand and satisfy the needs of the customer, a professional attitude, high levels of energy, and the ability to adapt quickly, be flexible and manage change effectively
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record
