Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour
Age Requirement:
- All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application (C101). This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
Security Experience:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant security experience (C114). This experience should be documented and verifiable, demonstrating the candidate's capability to perform the duties required for the position.
Driver's License Requirements:
Candidates must hold a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This includes compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing the operation of a vehicle in Australia.Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.
Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required for certain positions.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks is essential.
CPR Certification: Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal for those who do not have certification.
Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service roles is preferred to ensure a high level of client interaction.
Ability to Lift More Than 20 lbs (B209): Candidates must be physically capable of lifting items weighing more than 20 pounds as part of their job responsibilities.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary across the campus.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least two years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
