Job Summary:
The Product Development Associate will support Maersk’s Contract Logistics business by assisting with 3PL market research, customer opportunity mapping, business development support and data analysis. The role will work closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Customer Experience teams to help track customer requirements, support internal follow-ups on service matters, prepare basic insights and reports, and contribute to the development of customer-focused logistics solutions. This is an associate-level commercial logistics role suited to someone with early experience in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution or 3PL operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support market research on the 3PL and contract logistics landscape, including warehousing, distribution, customer segments, competitor activity and potential business opportunities.
- Assist in identifying and mapping potential customers, industry verticals and growth opportunities for Maersk’s Contract Logistics business.
- Support business development efforts by preparing customer information, opportunity notes, market inputs and presentation material.
- Analyse customer, market and operational data to provide basic insights that support logistics solution development.
- Maintain reports, trackers and dashboards related to customer opportunities, business development activities and key operational or commercial updates.
- Act as a coordination point between customers and internal teams to ensure timely follow-up on service matters, customer concerns and agreed actions.
- Liaison with Procurement and other stakeholders to support customer contract handling, solution follow-up and issue resolution.
- Share observations on customer feedback, service gaps, procurement dependencies and market requirements to help improve Contract Logistics offerings.
- Support go-to-market activities, customer engagement preparation and opportunity tracking for Contract Logistics growth.
- Prepare clear business updates, analysis summaries and follow-up notes for internal review.
Who we’re Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience in contract logistics, 3PL, warehousing, distribution, supply chain, logistics operations, customer coordination, business development support, or a similar logistics-focused role.
- Basic understanding of the 3PL / Contract Logistics business, including warehousing, distribution, customer requirements and operational coordination.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to work with data, prepare reports, maintain trackers and identify useful business insights.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to coordinate on customer concerns, service matters and follow-up actions in a professional manner.
- Exposure to market research, opportunity mapping, business development support or customer solution preparation will be an advantage.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Procurement and Customer Experience.
- Strong communication, coordination and follow-up skills, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
