You will be part of a high-performing Cost Accounting and Operations Finance team that partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and Planning organizations. Our team is responsible for cost roll governance, inventory and standard costing processes, Digital Transformation (DT) and SAP S/4HANA transformation support, audit and SOX compliance, and reporting automation initiatives. ## The impact you’ll make
The Financial Analyst 4 is a key member of the Global Operations Finance team responsible for supporting cost accounting processes, governance, financial systems initiatives, and compliance activities across the manufacturing network. This role partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and Finance stakeholders to promote accurate inventory valuation, effective financial controls, and successful execution of strategic transformation initiatives.
The successful candidate will drive cost roll governance, support Digital Transformation (DT) and SAP S/4HANA initiatives, lead audit and SOX-related activities, and develop automated solutions that improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of standard costing and reporting processes.
## What you’ll do
Standard Cost Automation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions supporting standard costing and inventory analysis.
- Improve the efficiency of standard cost maintenance, variance reporting, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Partner with analytics and systems teams to leverage SAP, Power BI, Excel, and workflow automation tools.
- Design dashboards and reports that improve visibility into costing and operational performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, strengthen data quality, and improve process scalability.
Financial Analysis & Business Support
- Perform variance analysis and investigate significant cost and inventory fluctuations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, forecasting, and management reporting activities.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and translate results into clear business insights.
- Provide recommendations that support operational and financial improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost Roll Governance
- Coordinate and support quarterly and annual standard cost roll processes across manufacturing locations.
- Review standard cost changes for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company costing policies.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to evaluate cost impacts of engineering changes, sourcing decisions, and product transfers.
- Analyse material, labour, overhead, and burden cost drivers and communicate significant changes to stakeholders.
- Maintain cost roll documentation, controls, calendars, and governance requirements.
Audit & SOX Compliance Leadership
- Coordinate audit requests and prepare clear, complete supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Maintain and enhance SOX controls related to inventory accounting, product costing, and financial reporting processes.
- Perform periodic control reviews to assess adherence to company policies and accounting requirements.
- Support walkthroughs, control testing, and remediation activities for identified gaps or audit findings.
- Partner with control owners to improve process consistency, documentation quality, and audit readines.
## Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Attention to details and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
## Preferred qualifications
- Foundational understanding of US GAAP and India GAAP is a plus.
- Prior experience within technology, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
- SAP and Business Objects experience is highly desirable or demonstrable strong systems skills.
- Experience in business intelligence (BI) technologies, tools, and concepts.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams including occasional flexible schedules to accommodate time zones.
