Description
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Systemic Trader, VP for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Trade bonds and exchange-traded funds (ETF) using the Citi bond algorithm with a goal to maximize market share and revenue. Find and trade on arbitrage opportunities in corporate bond ETFs based on liquidity and bond prices. Enable clients by optimizing and executing bond portfolio lists which minimize transaction costs and achieve specific objectives. Work with clients to understand their needs and structure trades which best suit their objectives. Provide relevant market information to ETF providers and help them manage the liquidity of their ETFs by doing creation/redemption trades. Work with quantitative analysts to improve the bond trading algorithm by giving quick feedback to new changes and market regimes. Perform self-driven research to identify new revenue opportunities based on market intuition and inefficiencies. Work with junior analysts to distribute tasks and projects to best utilize the desk resources. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Operations Research and Information Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Trader, Quantitative Analysis Program Analyst, Trading Analyst, or related position involving computer programming and data analysis for ETF and bond trading at a global financial services institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full span of experience must include: Python programming; KDB programming for data analysis; Expertise in trading algorithms for automatic-trading machine monitoring and to identify weaknesses and propose improvements; Mathematical evaluation of P&L attribution, ETF Fair-Value computation, and ETF/Portfolio baskets optimization; Corporate-bonds trading with focus on timely moving risk from books at profitable levels; and ETF creation and redemption.
