We are looking for a Patient Services Representative to manage the Front Desk of our outpatient Therapy Services.

We are a private, physician-owned Orthopedic and Spine practice with ancillary Therapy Services. We have a long history of serving the Flagstaff community. Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week  


Hourly Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 / hr


Schedule:  The ideal candidate is full-time Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30p.m. and Fridays 8:30am-5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch. 


Responsibilities include:

· Greet and check-in patients

· Prepare new patient paperwork

· Manage multiple pathways of patient communications. I.E. phones, texting, patient portals and email

· Schedule/book appointments on electronic software

· Verify insurance and obtain insurance authorization

· Collect money for services

· Scan, fax, and file documents 

· Work closely with our surgical teams to ensure exemplary pre- and post-operative care.

Requirements

  Position Requirements:

· Excellent customer service and telephone skills 

· 1-2 years of previous knowledge in a medical/physical therapy front office is preferred

· Previous experience with medical software preferred

· Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service

· Attention to detail

· Time Management skills

· Organized with exceptional communication skills

· Bilingual in Spanish or Navajo is a plus


Knowledge, Preferred:

• Knowledge of insurance rules and regulations including eligibility and referral requirements

• Able to verify eligibility of each payer, per patient according to defined parameters

• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA Guidelines

• Computer knowledge, including Windows based programs - must be proficient in Word and Excel


Physical Demands:

• Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment

• Manual dexterity using a telephone and computer keyboard
