As a Security Officer Clinical Area Patrol in Westwood, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to site-specific access procedures while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months to 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must have updated vaccinations for covid vaccine and flu shot is required to work at medical-field.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
