A Day in the Life as the Aging and Disability Resource Center Manager:
As the Merrimack County ADRC Center Manager you’ll be responsible for overall site operations and team process management, including performance measurement, training and or coordination of training for all staff, management of subcontracts, public education, public awareness, community and provider relations, program review and quality oversight. Your day will involve:
- Establishes short- and long-term goals to achieve the ADRC mission.
- Works with the Bureau of Aging and Adult Services (BAAS) staff, including the ADRC Program Management staff, the NH Family Caregiver Support Program Manager, Office of LTC and the NH SHIP Director, to ensure that appropriate staff establish and maintain effective working relationships with BAAS program staff.
- Manages fiscal operations including budget development and authorization of expenditures according to the contracted budget agreement with BAAS, the board of Directors, and/or Fiscal agency.
- Develops, implements, and directs public relations and communication strategies that increase public awareness and utilization of the ADRC's various programs and services.
- Networks with community groups to strengthen and expand the coalition (faith communities, ethnic/cultural groups, health and human service providers, business, education and neighborhood groups) as well as supports activities that strengthen program recognition at the local, regional, state, and federal level.
- Oversees and is accountable for of all day-to-day processing of Aging and Disability Resource Center site programs evaluations, including operational reports, quality reports, State and Federal reports to Bureau of Aging and Adult Services (BAAS) and Federal reports to the Administration on Aging and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid by designated time frames.

Requirements
Qualifications to Be an Aging and Disability Resource Manager:
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services or related human service field, or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years of experience managing a non-profit agency. Alliance of Information Referral Specialist (AIRS) certification within one year of hire.
- Experience: Five years of progressively responsible experience managing a non-profit agency or division, including program development, budget management, marketing and community relations. Organizational management, team development and supervisory experience required. Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and volunteers preferred.
- Skills: Ability to foster a team process encompassing resource center staff and designated members from outside agencies. The Ability to plan, organize, direct and evaluate the work of others (including hiring, terminating, and supervising office staff). Ability to train and coach staff. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing and to collaborate among all community, regional, state, and federal groups.
- Characteristics: Good interpersonal skills, openness and flexibility in working with diverse groups, enthusiasm for working collaboratively on community issues.
- Technical: Computer and software skills as required in the position. Knowledge of principles and practices of financial management and bookkeeping.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required, as some travel within the community may be necessary.
