Key requirements:
Compliance Implementation & Advisory
- Act as the first contact point for First Line departments (e.g., JCBD, GCBD, TRE, TBPD, CSD) regarding compliance matters.
- For local regulatory compliance (and core compliance in the future), BLC Team is the control tower to lead discussion and obtain MGT's decision and/or policy on behalf of Business side.
- Be the 1st contact point of Business side for compliance related matters and on behalf of Business side to discuss with COD, where necessary.
- Provide specific advice and guidance on local regulations and MUFG core compliance policies. Handle daily transaction inquiries relating to regulatory compliance in case Business side can not judge by themselves.
- Create and deliver training sessions to First Line staff to ensure compliance adherence.
- Build effective relationship and partnership with other departments to work out solutions to meet business’ needs.
Risk Ownership & Escalation
- Support First Line in identifying, evaluating, and making judgments on compliance-related risks.
- Assist in preparing risk acceptance documentation and ensure proper reporting to CSMO/RH.
- Escalate unresolved or complex compliance matters to CSMO or Department Head as needed.
- Collaborate with COD for compliance opinions when necessary.
Governance & Monitoring
- Maintain control lists of risk acceptance cases and conduct annual/ad-hoc reviews.
- Ensure documentation is retrievable for sample checking by COD.
- Participate in discussions with COD when stricter compliance views arise.
Qualifications Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks and global compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Experience in training delivery and compliance advisory.
- Familiarity with MUFG policies and APAC Core Compliance frameworks.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.
