The Cisco CXO Events team drives significant business impact for Cisco by creating the most engaging and innovative event experiences in the world for our customers, partners and employees. We are a team of strategists, event experience designers, marketers, and technologists working together to deliver award-winning experiences for our audiences.
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Event Marketing Manager to join the CXO Events team to lead the planning and execution of Cisco’s executive customer hosting programs across a portfolio of premier events and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for creating exceptional customer experiences that advance business objectives while managing complex, high-touch programs involving executive stakeholders, customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate for this role combines strategic thinking with flawless execution and thrives in fast-paced, highly visible environments where attention to detail, relationship management and operational excellence are critical to success.
Your Impact
As an Event Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of premium executive customer engagement programs that strengthen relationships with key customers and support Cisco's brand, sponsorship, and business objectives. This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class experiences while maximizing the value and impact of Cisco’s partnership investments. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of executive customer engagement programs across Cisco's portfolio of premier events and strategic sponsorships.
- Design and deliver customer experiences that align with business priorities while maximizing sponsorship investments and executive engagement opportunities.
- Own the end-to-end attendee experience, including pre-event engagement through onsite delivery, executive hosting and post-event follow-up.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships across Sponsorship Marketing, Field Marketing, executive stakeholders, internal brand teams, partner agencies, and external vendors.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, high-impact customer experiences across multiple simultaneous programs.
- Drive operational planning and execution across hospitality environments, including branding, buildout, product integration, guest experience, and messaging.
- Partner with audience engagement and field marketing teams to support attendee strategy, customer targeting, and registration goals.
- Develop and manage executive stakeholder engagement strategies that support high-touch customer experiences throughout planning and execution.
- Evaluate program performance against business objectives, delivering post-event insights and executive recaps with recommendations for future optimization.
- Oversee program budgets, forecasting, financial management and reconciliation, including agency/vendor SOW management.

Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of agency and/or client-side experience developing and delivering
- premium, white-glove hospitality, and experiential marketing programs. Background within a B2B technology environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability developing customer engagement strategies that align business objectives with executive customer experiences.
- 5+ years of experience managing executive stakeholders, high-profile customer engagements, and navigating complex, cross-functional organizations while operating comfortably in highly visible environments.
- Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and communicate recommendations that drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex programs simultaneously, prioritizing competing demands, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering results in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing agencies, vendors, and external partners.
- Proficiency in managing program budgets, forecasting, agency statements of work (SOWs), and financial reconciliation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for site visits, event planning and program execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

The starting salary range posted for this position is $120,200.00 to $152,300.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco’s plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies:
10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

New York City Metro Area:
$145,200.00 - $212,100.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:
$129,100.00 - $188,300.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
