General Job Description:
A student worker for Esports is a representative of the department both in the office and on campus.
The Esports student-aid will work at the front desk at Purcell Hall, primarily in the evenings. The employee will be responsible for:
- Checking out equipment to other students.
- Helping other students solve any technical issues they are having.
- Helping enforces the rules of Purcell Hall.
- Closing Purcell at the end of the night.
- Turning off various equipment such as TVs, consoles, and computers.
- Manage social media.
While expertise with technology is not required, a general familiarity with the various pieces of technology in Purcell is needed to succeed in this job. Half of the work hours will be allotted to managing social media presence.
Salary and Hours
- Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
- Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
