Position Summary
Able Mabel Home Care Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Agency Nurse to serve as the clinical leader for our Georgia-licensed private home care agency.
In this role, you will oversee the clinical management of our clients from admission through ongoing care, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively, and in compliance with Georgia regulations and agency standards. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans of care, coordinate with physicians, supervise field staff, and provide skilled nursing services to clients in their homes.

What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and admissions.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized Plans of Care.
- Coordinate physician orders and ensure timely renewals and documentation.
- Provide skilled nursing services including wound care, medication management, tracheostomy and ventilator care, enteral feeding, and other nursing interventions as appropriate.
- Perform supervisory visits and clinical oversight of home care staff.
- Educate and train proxy caregivers in accordance with Georgia Rules 111-8-100, including competency validation and documentation.
- Monitor client progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Georgia Department of Community Health regulations, agency policies, and professional nursing standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
What Your Day Looks Like
Every day begins with reviewing client updates, physician orders, reauthorizations, and any urgent clinical concerns. You'll travel throughout the Atlanta metro area conducting start-of-care visits, reassessments, supervisory visits, and skilled nursing appointments.
Between client visits, you'll communicate with physicians and care teams, update care plans, complete clinical documentation, and coordinate caregiver education. You'll also provide hands-on training for proxy caregivers, verify competencies, and ensure every client record remains compliant and ready for regulatory review.
By the end of each day, you'll reconcile documentation, communicate with families and providers, and prepare for the next day's client care priorities.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License with Georgia practice privileges.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
- Successful completion of required background screening and TB testing.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Home Care or Home Health experience.
- Experience with Georgia Medicaid Waiver Programs including:
- GAPP
- CCSP
- SOURCE
- ICWP
- NOW/COMP
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Supervisory, case management, or clinical leadership experience.
