Description
- Manage supplier quality performance including but not limited to maintain and update the supplier approval list, supplier. compliance to Ampco supplier quality requirements, suppliers’ qualification, evaluation and development.
- Manage supplier corrective actions in the event of material nonconformity and promote continual improvement.
- Manage and evaluate supplier PPAP and provide technical support to suppliers.
- Preparing, monitoring and analyzing all the QMS KPIs.
- Develop KPIs dashboards for all the QMS process.
- Control and maintain the quality management system documentation system.
- Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques and perform statistical studies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the equipment calibration and conduct the tools/equipment MSA.
- Perform the UL and CSA audit, communicate with external auditors, maintain the audit records, and follow up to solve the non-conformities.
- Assist the Quality Manager with IATF and IS014001 internal audit.
- Provide support with NCs, identifying root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation for all projects assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Any other tasks or projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 3-5 years quality experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Quality Engineering designation ASQ CQE or VDA 6.3 auditor is preferred.
- In depth knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 (Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA).
- Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques as well as understanding of GD&T principles.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
