Role Title: - Supervisor/Foreperson, Contracting

Contract Type: Full Time

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor/Foreperson to join our high performing Contracting team in Nelson.   This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team and can successfully deliver work within their scope, including coordinating people, plant and materials.

As a supervisor, you may lead multiple operational crews and while also carrying out some hands-on work.

Key responsibilities

• Management of a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors and public on all your sites
• Co-ordination of resources to safely and efficiently complete planned work
• Supervise projects in a profitable and efficient manner ensuring eh highest quality standards
• Provide onsite leadership
• Effective service delivery and interaction with customers and stakeholders
• Encourage growth and development of team and crews
• Any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested

What you’ll bring to the table

• Current class 1 licence
• Current class 2 & W, T, R, endorsements (would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided for the right person)
• First aid certificate
• Leadership experience in a construction environment would be an advantage.
