Job Title : Business Director - Animal Nutrition

Reporting to : APAC Head, (BL - Animal Nutrition)

Purpose of the Position

• The role is responsible for managing all sales activities related to Essential Nutrition and supporting the sales activities of Specialty Nutrition.

• The position entails developing, coordinating, and executing strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and sales/profit targets. This will be done in close collaboration with the regional team as well as the local team in India.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Demand and Supply Analysis:

• Understand the regional demand and supply landscape in relation to pricing and product value proposition.

Sales Strategy Development:

• Develop a strategic sales plan (roadmap) to achieve business objectives, including country market strategies and strategic posture for regional/local accounts.

Customer Opportunity Assessment:

• Identify and evaluate customer opportunities and determine priorities and strategies to pursue them effectively.

Sales Tactics Execution:

• Make decisions on sales tactics (e.g., contracts vs. spot sales) based on demand plans provided by the strategic marketing function.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Manage customer relationships, segmentation, commodity price steering, and market/competitive intelligence to support sales plans and annual budgeting processes.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Ensure continuous innovation and improvement are integrated into all sales activities.

• Execute targeted commodity pricing and product allocation approaches based on customer segmentation.

Education, Certification, and Relevant Experience Required

• Educational Background: A Science graduate with a minimum of 10–12 years of experience in a leadership position in the relevant animal nutrition field.

• Candidates with a BVSc./MVSc in Animal Nutrition or Veterinary Medicine are preferred.

• An MBA qualification would be advantageous
