Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Guard in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Allied Universal Professional at a dynamic educational location, you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This unarmed role blends routine patrols with strong communication and customer service, while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout classrooms, galleries, offices, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and assist with authorized entry procedures in accordance with location protocols.
• Support campus operations during special events, student activities, and/or after-hours periods by maintaining a visible presence and communicating security-related concerns as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
