Description

About this Opportunity:

As a Wealth Product Strategy Manager, you will support the development of strategic product recommendations across Orion’s wealth product offering. Reporting to the Director, Wealth Strategy, this role provides analytical rigor, competitive intelligence, and business analysis to evaluate opportunities, inform strategic decisions, and prioritize initiatives that strengthen Orion’s wealth platform and advisor value proposition.

This role plays a critical part in competitive research, market analysis, financial modeling, pricing analysis, and business case development. The Wealth Strategy Product Manager translates data, advisor insights, competitive observations, and financial assumptions into concise, decision-ready analysis that supports product strategy, roadmap prioritization, pricing decisions, and new business opportunities. As we continue to evolve and live our Orion values, we are looking for someone to grow with us.

It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work as a Hybrid employee, with three (3) or more days each week required on-site at one of the listed office locations.

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to an office. Internal candidates currently aligned to an Orion office location may be given preference; however, internal candidates with varying work arrangements may be considered based on experience and business needs. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Conduct competitive research across TAMPs, broker-dealers, RIAs, asset managers, wealth platforms, and fintech providers to identify market trends, product gaps, pricing practices, and differentiation opportunities

  • Build and maintain market, pricing, revenue, adoption, and profitability models to support evaluation of new products, services, pricing changes, and strategic initiatives

  • Support business case development through market opportunity sizing, competitive benchmarking, financial analysis, scenario modeling, and implementation feasibility assessment

  • Analyze advisor needs, platform usage, asset trends, revenue performance, and product adoption to identify strategic opportunities and support roadmap prioritization

  • Prepare concise, executive-ready analysis, presentations, dashboards, and recommendation materials for product strategy discussions and leadership decision-making

  • Partner with product management, investment, distribution, finance, operations, technology, legal/compliance, and marketing teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support cross-functional strategy work

  • Maintain structured repositories of competitive intelligence, product research, pricing benchmarks, business case assumptions, and supporting analyses to improve decision quality and repeatability

We're looking for talent who:

  • Has strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous questions, test assumptions, and develop clear business recommendations

  • Has excellent Excel modeling skills, including revenue modeling, pricing analysis, sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling, and data synthesis

  • Has strong PowerPoint and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate detailed analysis into concise, executive-ready materials

  • Has experience conducting competitive research, market analysis, product benchmarking, and financial services industry research

  • Has understanding of wealth management, investment products, advisor platforms, managed accounts, asset management, or financial services distribution models preferred

  • Use attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities

  • Is collaborative, intellectually curious, proactive, and comfortable supporting strategy work in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field required

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, wealth management, asset management, strategy, consulting, corporate finance, business analytics, or product strategy preferred

  • Has experience building financial models, conducting competitive research, supporting business cases, and preparing leadership-level presentations strongly preferred

  • Preferably has experience in wealth management, advisor platforms, managed accounts, asset management, or financial services distribution models

  • Preferably has experience supporting product strategy, business case development, pricing recommendations, or strategic roadmap prioritization

  • Preferably has ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and support cross-functional decision-making with clear, structured analysis

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization
