WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon to join a group of general surgeons that also provide level 3 trauma and acute care surgery at Franciscan Physician Network Indy Southside Surgical Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana on a PRN basis. Interested candidate will be joining a fast-paced, talented, and cohesive team. Additionally, this candidate would be collegial and have a strong focus on both clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and operative skills, as well as ability to prioritize patient satisfaction. Candidate will display good interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Flexible PRN schedule
Schedule is a blend of clinic and OR time
Shared call responsibilities
Average outpatient volume: 25 – 30 patients per day
Average inpatient volume: Varies
Inpatient rounding on surgical patients
Most common procedures performed:
Gastric Sleeve/Rny Gastric Bypass
Acute Care Surgery
Level 3 Trauma Call
Laparoscopic Appendectomy
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Hernia Repair
Colon Resection
Da Vinci Robot ("Xi" with "Firefly") considerable console time available weekly; Hospital willing to negotiate training and proctoring for a surgeon willing to become competent on robotic-assisted surgeries
Reliable instrumentation and equipment

Qualifications:
Doctorate Required
Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required
Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Upon Hire Required
Wound Care Certification – Upon Hire or with a commitment to obtain within 2 years
