Creston/Extron AV Programmer
Create Smarter, Seamless, and Innovative AV Experiences
GST is seeking a skilled AV Control System Programmer who is passionate about creating intuitive, high‑performing AV solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy control system code, user interfaces, DSP configurations, and integrated AV solutions used by enterprise clients, educational institutions, and government partners.
This position offers a dynamic blend of hands‑on system programming, in‑house testing, and on‑site commissioning. You'll work with cutting‑edge technology while collaborating with engineering, project management, and client teams to deliver integrated AV solutions. What You'll Do
- Program, test, and deploy control systems on Crestron, AMX, and Extron platforms
- Design intuitive and consistent touch panel user interfaces
- Develop custom modules, device drivers, and automation logic
- Configure and tune DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.)
- Review AV drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams
- Perform in‑house testing and on‑site commissioning, verification, and acceptance testing
- Troubleshoot integrated AV, control, and network systems
- Support project teams, manufacturers, and clients as needed
- Maintain programming documentation, standards, and version control
- Travel to job sites as required
Qualifications
Education/ Experience & Technical Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments
- Hands‑on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AV‑over‑IP and -DSP setup/calibration
- Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues
Required Certifications
- Harman Certified Control Professional (CP)
- Extron GC-Pro
- Crestron and/or AMX programming certifications
Preferred Certifications
- CTS or CTS‑D
- Advanced Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications
- Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
