Técnico de Calibración II

Descripción General

El Técnico de Calibración II es responsable de inspeccionar, probar, ajustar y mantener instrumentos y equipos para garantizar que cumplan con los estándares establecidos de precisión, desempeño y cumplimiento regulatorio.

Responsabilidades del Puesto

  • Realizar calibraciones, pruebas y ajustes en instrumentos mecánicos, eléctricos y electrónicos.
  • Utilizar herramientas de medición de precisión para asegurar que los equipos cumplan con las especificaciones requeridas.
  • Documentar los resultados de calibración y mantener registros detallados de las pruebas y ajustes realizados.
  • Diagnosticar, investigar y reparar instrumentos cuando se presenten desviaciones o fallas.
  • Garantizar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones de la industria y los estándares de calidad de la empresa.
  • Colaborar con ingenieros, equipos de calidad y personal de producción para resolver problemas relacionados con la calibración.
  • Mantener las herramientas y equipos de calibración en óptimas condiciones de funcionamiento.
  • Planificar y coordinar calibraciones internas y externas.
  • Realizar la correcta identificación, etiquetado y control de los equipos sujetos a calibración.
  • Elaborar reportes técnicos, investigaciones y documentación relacionada con desviaciones o hallazgos de calibración.
  • Seguir los protocolos de seguridad y los procedimientos establecidos en el Sistema de Gestión de Calidad (QMS) de Integer.
  • Integrar la calidad dentro de la disciplina de Ingeniería bajo el principio “Yo soy responsable de la Calidad”, promoviendo el cumplimiento del Sistema de Gestión de Calidad (QMS), apoyando acciones correctivas y preventivas, y contribuyendo al logro de los indicadores de calidad y la meta organizacional de 5 Sigma.
  • Realizar otras actividades relacionadas con el puesto según le sean asignadas.

Educación Mínima

  • Bachillerato concluido.
  • Estudiante universitario o carrera técnica en Ingeniería Electrónica, Mecánica, Mecatrónica, Metrología o área afín.
  • Certificación en Calibración obligatoria.

Experiencia Mínima De Dos Años

  • Experiencia práctica en calibración, metrología, pruebas, validaciones o control de calidad.
  • Experiencia en ambientes de manufactura regulada

Conocimientos Especializados

  • Conocimiento de sistemas de calibración y control metrológico.
  • Conocimiento de requisitos de trazabilidad y estándares aplicables.
  • Certificaciones relevantes de la industria, como ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), son altamente deseables.
  • Conocimiento de Buenas Prácticas de Documentación (GDP) y sistemas de calidad

Habilidades Especiales

  • Sólido entendimiento de los principios de medición y técnicas de calibración.
  • Experiencia con instrumentos de medición de precisión, tales como:
    • Vernier
    • Micrómetros
    • Indicadores de carátula
    • Calibradores de altura
    • SmartScope y equipos de inspección por visión
  • Capacidad para planificar y coordinar calibraciones internas y externas.
  • Conocimiento en ajuste y configuración de instrumentos de medición.
  • Capacidad para identificar, etiquetar y controlar adecuadamente los equipos de medición.
  • Experiencia en la elaboración de reportes técnicos e investigaciones relacionadas con desviaciones de calibración.
  • Capacidad para interpretar manuales técnicos, planos, diagramas eléctricos y especificaciones técnicas.
  • Alto nivel de atención al detalle y capacidad de análisis.
  • Habilidades sólidas de resolución de problemas y toma de decisiones.
  • Manejo de software de gestión de calibración; experiencia con IndySoft es una ventaja.
  • Manejo de Microsoft Office a nivel intermedio.
  • Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
  • Inglés técnico es considerado un plus.

    What you will do in this role:  

    The primary purpose of this position is to ensure or establish controls for products and processes related to various technical functions meeting customer and regulatory requirements.  Maintains and improves Integer quality systems. Carries out responsibilities with little to no supervision.   

    Ensure or Establish Controls for Products and Processes

    • Compiles or completes quality records, reports, and/or documentation ensuring GDP (Good Documentation Practices) are applied.  
    • Participates in problem solving and provides input for process/product evaluations for continuous improvement.  
    • Utilizes equipment and ensures current calibration. May repair, modify and/or maintain equipment.
    • Performs inspections in accordance with authorized specification and applicable quality standards.  
    • May make recommendations to existing work instructions to improve quality, clarity, and/or efficiency.
    • Sets up and runs testing according to procedures or Engineering direction. May perform failure analysis and/or troubleshooting.  
    • Performs other duties as assigned. 

    Grow on the job and help others succeed

    • Expands skill base through on-the-job training, cross training, and classroom instruction.  
    • May train personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes.  
    • Provides support/guidance, data, and analysis to other departments.

    • Continually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality and identifies and escalates quality non-conformances to assist in achieving company quality objectives and key business metrics.
    • Adheres to Integer Core Beliefs, Safety and Quality requirements and applicable regulations described in the quality management system (QMS). 
    • You embed Quality within your daily work life – “I own Quality.”  You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS), facilitating and/or contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to the successful attainment of our quality KPI’s and journey to 5 Sigma.

    What sets you apart:

    • Minimum Education (preferred):
      • High school graduate or equivalent may be required, associate degree or experience in area of technical expertise may be preferred. 

    • Minimum Experience (preferred):
      • 2 years of Integer work experience, or 3 years of related manufacturing industry experience may be required.  Associates degree may substitute for years experience.

    • Specialized Knowledge:  
    • Understanding of GD&T. 
    • Understanding of the ISO9001/ISO13485 quality standards preferred 
    • Product knowledge helpful

    • Special Skills:  
    • Computer operation skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings/prints.
    • Ability to read and understand work instructions.
      • Experienced with the use of measurement tools/equipment and hand gages to measure physical dimensions on parts (e.g. pin gage, caliper, optical comparator, etc.).
