Role summary:The Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, leads and supports HVACR operations by coordinating work assignments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment quality standards. This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and managing resources to optimize system performance. The position requires providing technical guidance, conducting training, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement improvements. What you'll do:
- Lead and coordinate HVACR teams to meet customer needs and business priorities, ensuring timely and quality work completion.
- Oversee special projects by evaluating new technologies, identifying improvements, and addressing deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR industry regulations through inspections, repairs, and proper refrigerant handling.
- Manage HVACR maintenance resources, including refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and supplier relationships.
- Provide training and hands-on support to technicians, assessing skills and promoting best practices.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVACR and Energy Management Systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Compile budget reports, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for equipment replacement projects.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in HVACR systems maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, including preventive and corrective actions.
- In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety.
- Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate work assignments, and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and timely completion of projects.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local HVACR codes, building standards, and indoor air quality requirements.
- Skilled in managing inventory, budgeting, and vendor relationships for HVACR parts and services.
- Commitment to safety protocols and continuous improvement in HVACR operations and training.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.Universal EPA Certification.
