The Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis Technology is a key member of the Finance team supporting Technology, Operations, and other organizations within Empower. This role is responsible for preparing and distributing recurring financial reports, dashboards, and analyses used by business leaders and senior analysts to support decision-making and performance management. The position also performs expense variance analysis, including actual-to-budget and period-over-period reporting, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. In addition, this role monitors financial activity to help ensure accurate accounting and reporting, supports monthly close, forecasting, and budgeting processes, and manages and maintains financial planning models and related data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses to communicate business performance, trends, and key insights to management and senior leadership.
- Analyze financial and operational trends, including expense performance, budgeting variances, and other key business metrics.
- Build, maintain, and enhance annual budget and long-term financial planning models supporting Technology, Operations, and other business units.
- Support expense budgeting and workforce/headcount planning processes.
- Perform financial analysis and ad hoc modeling to support business cases, investment decisions, product launches, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and maintain key forecasting inputs, including depreciation, amortization, and other financial planning assumptions.
- Review and monitor purchase requisition (PR) and purchase order (PO) submissions for financial accuracy and approval compliance.
- Prepare presentation materials, charts, and executive-level reporting for leadership meetings and business reviews.
- Support internal and external audit requests by gathering and validating required financial information and documentation.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across Finance and business partner teams to support collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in progressive finance and/or accounting roles.
- Financial Services background preferred.
- Financial modeling experience required.
- Advanced MS Office skills required, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective collaborator across teams and departments.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail required.
