Adoray's Treasures from the Heart in Osceola is looking for a motivated and qualified manager to help continue lead our team to success! This is a .8 full-time (32-hours/week) position.
JOB SUMMARY: The manager of Adoray Home Health and Hospice's Secondhand Store is responsible for day-to-day operations of the secondhand store. In particular, the individual oversees the development and implementation of necessary policies and procedures and implementation of financial procedures. The individual reports to the Adoray Director of Finance and works closely with other team members to ensure necessary functions are carried out with minimal duplication of effort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure there is an adequate pool of volunteers available for staffing the store working to reach out to potential volunteers through a variety of sources in the community.
- Ensure an orientation program exists for volunteers working in the store, including physical orientation as well as applicable policies and procedures, and the orientation is completed within the first volunteer session.
- Organize formal and informal recognition activities.
- Ensure there is ongoing education of volunteers regarding the relationship between Treasures and Adoray.
- Maintains Volunteer calendars and scheduling, understanding any open shifts should be filled by Volunteers first before staff. If staff is not available, the Manager will be responsible for adequately filling that shift.
- Actively contributes to Volunteer newsletter on monthly basis and other Adoray publications as requested.
- Ensures consistent implementation of store policies including but not limited to the condition and type of inventory accepted; pricing strategies; best practices; tagging guideline; return policy, etc.
- Provide overall leadership in managing volunteers including communicating expectations clearly, communicating Adoray's mission and standards of conduct and releasing volunteers who do not consistently meet expectations and/or demonstrate a shared commitment to Adoray's mission and standards of conduct.
- Oversees performance of all other staff
- Coordinates with managers and staff from other Treasures store to ensure consistency in pricing, tagging marketing activities and attends store meetings.
- Takes initiative, at least annually, to measure shopper satisfaction, donor satisfaction and volunteer satisfaction coordinated with Director of Finance and develop annual goals and strategies to address any areas of concern.
- Ensures there is an atmosphere and environment in the store that is neat, clean and friendly at all times
- Ensures appropriate public relation activities take place at least quarterly, working with the Director of Finance and/or Marketing Department to attract new and repeat customers.
- Works with Adoray Team to provide goods that they require for patients in need.
- Works closely with the Director of Finance to ensure policies and procedures are in place and followed
- Establishes annual wish list and review annual budget with Director of Finance with a focus of growth and profitability.
- Assists with various tasks assigned by the Director of Finance.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience working with Volunteers preferred.
2. One year experience in managing a retail or secondhand store preferred.
3. Business education and/or experience preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
6. Ability to work autonomously and make independent judgments.
7. Ability to coordinate activities of a diverse group of people.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Maintain the integrity of highly confidential information.
2. Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Supervision: Minimal supervision received from ADORAY Chief Financial Officer. Performance measured by direct observation, financial performance of store, communications with volunteers, other staff and customers.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The Manager is required to talk and hear; sit, walk, stand, squat, bend, kneel; use hands and fingers to feel, handle currency, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The Manager must frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. The Manager will spend most of their workday on their feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
