Position Title: Data Analytics - Senior Analyst

About the Job 

Data Analytics Services (DAS) is a key pillar of the Automation CoE within Sanofi Business Operations. Besides data analytics, the wider team’s scope is comprised of Master Data Management, Process Mining & Process Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). DAS is primarily responsible for building and maintaining Power BI dashboards in the finance domain.

 What you will be doing: 

 Main Responsibilities: 

People:

(1) Acts as strategic thought partner with People Analytics operations across GBUs.

(2) Develops and maintains expertise on key trends / developments in the industry.

(3) Provides input to strategic deliverables and ensures delivery as per plan.

(4) Identify areas for innovation and implement with external and internal partners.

Performance:

(1) Lead/Mentor teams of experts specialized analytics professionals' others as needed.

(2) Quantitative Strategy Consultant partner with a broad range of internal cross-BU client teams across regions to deliver and advise seamless solutions across the most specific marketing and sales issues facing a stakeholder.

(3) Evaluates the effectiveness of various promotion and marketing programs leveraging secondary data sources, Reporting platforms / ETL Setups.

(4) Mentor the junior team on day to day as well as exceptional cases/ situations.

(5) Monitor progress of work and provide solution to issues and queries.

(6) Share best practices and serve as a change agent and facilitator for operational excellence·

Process:

(1) Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high standards for deliverables made by the commercial operations teams.

(2) Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring to meet the defined/agreed quality parameters for the outputs produced by the respective teams.

(3) Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal / operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards.

(4) Lead and implement operational excellence projects within the team in alignment with overall direction from senior leadership using appropriate process improvement tools.

(5) Ensure creating & developing tools, technology, and process in order to constantly improve quality and productivity·

(6) Engaging with the business and Digital workgroup via Agile development

(7) Data transformations in Power Query based on imported data from Snowflake

(8) Data model building

(9) Creating DAX queries

(10) Data visualization / Report building

(11) Dashboard deployment via Power BI Service, User guide / training

(12) Co-operating with Master Data Management to create data dictionary, standards

About You: 

Experience:

• Having at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience and proficient in developing and maintaining dashboard in Power BI and Qlik Sense.
• Advance level in Power Query Editor, DAX functions, Power BI Development (Desktop), Microsoft SQL Database and Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• This position is responsible for designing and implementing KPI dashboards to add value to the businesses by improving the business processes and improve efficiencies (e.g., delays in process flow) and compliance violations (e.g., control circumvention) across all Sanofi Business Service Lines.
• Manage and coordinate projects and stakeholders for ongoing initiatives.
• Educate and enable the business users to use the data visualization tools.
• Act as a consultant for any data visualization related topics for the stakeholders.
• Good presentation skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical.
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or master’s Degree in quantitative subject (computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics or science).

• Inter-cultural skills and eagerness to work in a very international setting.
• High level of Interpersonal/ communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization.

• Openness to new tools.

Technical skills:

• Proven Master Power BI developer skills (inc Power Query, DAX, Visualization)
• Power BI, SQL (for Snowflake data mining)
• Data Science experience to build business cases for machine learning opportunities.
• Strong ability to review, recommend and implement technologies and tools.
• Proven knowledge of applicable Project methodologies (PM Methodology, Agile / Scrum)
• High levels of proficiency in English
