Ariba Lead – Support and Project Delivery

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Ariba Lead to serve as a subject matter expert in SAP Ariba upstream modules, collaborating across teams to contribute to key decisions and deliver innovative solutions. The role combines functional leadership, client engagement, and AMS delivery, requiring deep expertise in SAP Ariba and the ability to manage both support operations and project delivery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, lead, and manage the support and project team as the functional lead for Ariba upstream modules
• Provide expert guidance on SAP Ariba upstream modules and oversee integration between SAP Ariba and S/4HANA
• Facilitate and conduct workshops with business teams to collaboratively determine and document business requirements
• Translate business requirements and propose configuration or development solutions to address identified gaps
• Manage team capacity, KPIs, and SLA performance, compiling evidence and root cause analysis for breaches
• Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for complex functional and configuration issues, incidents, and service tickets
• Manage the prioritisation of enhancements and change requests from the business
• Coordinate quarterly SAP release testing of new features and identify optimisation initiatives
• Conduct impact analysis to ensure tickets are categorised and prioritised appropriately
• Act as the primary point of contact for critical incidents, driving root cause analysis and stakeholder reporting
• Support test planning and execute system component and integrated end-to-end testing
• Document and maintain functional and technical system design specifications
• Execute a client-facing role across various stakeholders, providing onsite support as required
• Communicate accurate status of project deliverables, mitigating risks and escalating issues as needed
• Promote client satisfaction and build strong, trusted client relationships

Skills Required

• SAP Ariba upstream modules configuration and functional expertise
• SAP Ariba and S/4HANA integration
• AMS incident, service request, and change management
• Root cause analysis and escalation management
• Business requirements gathering and solution design
• KPI and SLA management
• Test planning and execution including end-to-end integrated testing
• Client-facing delivery and stakeholder engagement
• Technical and functional specification documentation

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience as a functional lead in SAP Ariba upstream modules
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP Ariba or relevant related skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
• Experience with SAP Ariba and S/4HANA integration advantageous
• SAP Ariba certification advantageous
