Project Info
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a $2.8 billion alliance between ACCIONA, Water Corporation and Jacobs. Located north of Perth, the plant will deliver 50 billion litres of drinking water a year to over 2.5 million Western Australians. Construction began in 2024, with commissioning targeted for 2028. The project embeds safety, sustainability and community outcomes at every stage.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Expeditor manages supplier performance and drives the timely delivery of equipment, materials and documentation to support project execution. You will act as the critical link between Procurement, Engineering, Project Controls, Construction, Logistics and our suppliers, keeping purchase orders on track against project schedules and contractual requirements. Through proactive supplier engagement and early risk identification, you will help protect project milestones and keep construction moving.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor purchase orders from award through to delivery
- Track supplier manufacturing, inspection and shipping progress
- Run supplier follow-ups and progress review meetings
- Identify and escalate delivery risks and shortages
- Coordinate with logistics and site teams on shipments
- Maintain accurate expediting records in SiteSense
- Prepare expediting reports on progress, risks and actions
Required Skills and Competencies
What Capability & Experience You'll Need
- Diploma or degree in supply chain, procurement or related field
- Experience expediting in construction, resources or EPC/EPCM
- Skilled with SiteSense, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
