Cryptology Subject Matter Expert II – Norfolk, Virginia
Background:
Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies. We are currently seeking candidates for a Cryptology (CRY) Subject Matter Expert II position supporting a Department of Navy customer in Norfolk, Virginia.
Position Summary:
This position provides advanced technical expertise in cryptologic and information warfare mission planning, operational analysis, training support, doctrine development, and readiness assessment. The position will advise technical teams and leadership on cryptologic capabilities, operational integration, and best practices while supporting the development of operational concepts, technical documentation, training materials, and analytical products.
Salary Range: $140,000 - 145,000 / annually
Required Qualifications:
- Active, fully adjudicated Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/TSCI) security clearance required. Interim TS/SCI will not be accepted.
- Experience minimum: Ten (10) years of experience supporting cryptologic operations or cryptology within a Fleet or Navy Information Warfare mission area.
- Preferred: Recent experience actively working in the domain within the last five (5) years.
- Education minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting operational planning, readiness assessments, concept development, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Experience developing technical documentation, reports, white papers, briefings, or analytical products.
- Working knowledge of the integration of cryptology with other Information Warfare disciplines, including:
- Electromagnetic Warfare
- Command & Control
- Intelligence
- Space Operations
- Information Operations
- Defensive Cyber Operations
- Ability to independently support technical meetings, working groups, and collaborative planning activities.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Work Duties (including, but not limited to):
- Provide subject matter expertise in cryptologic operations and related information warfare disciplines.
- Support development and refinement of operational concepts, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Perform technical analyses to assess mission effectiveness and operational capabilities.
- Prepare technical documentation, briefings, analytical reports, and recommendations.
- Participate in technical planning sessions, working groups, and collaborative discussions.
- Support development and evaluation of training programs and operational readiness initiatives.
- Analyze mission requirements and recommend improvements to processes, capabilities, and technical solutions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary technical teams to integrate cryptologic capabilities into broader operational efforts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within assigned areas of expertise.
