How you’ll make an impact:

The Specialist – Fleet Initiatives supports the execution of all fleet-related initiatives including New Store Openings (NSOs), relocations, remodels, and store closings. This role plays a critical executional part in managing a high volume of projects—approximately 100 annually across the team—ensuring operational tasks are completed accurately and on time.

This position works closely with field leaders and cross-functional partners to coordinate day-to-day project activities, track milestones, manage documentation, and support performance tracking efforts.

The Specialist ensures projects move from approval to execution with clarity, organization, and strong store-level partnership.

Project Execution & Coordination – 60%

  • Manage detailed project timelines and task tracking across NSOs, relocations, remodels, and closings.
  • Partner directly with store leadership and district managers to ensure readiness and alignment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables including inventory flow, marketing materials, fixture delivery, signage, and operational setup.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure milestones are met.
  • Escalate risks and delays to Manager proactively.
  • Support use of Smartsheet (or other project management platforms) to maintain portfolio visibility.

Performance Tracking & Reporting Support – 25%

  • Assist in tracking sales and operational performance of NSOs, relocations, and remodels.
  • Support development of reporting tools and performance dashboards.
  • Compile and analyze data to identify early performance trends.
  • Prepare summaries and updates for leadership review.

Fleet Data & Administrative Governance – 15%

  • Maintain accurate records of fleet attributes and store specifications.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accessible across departments.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

Must Have:

  • 2-3 years experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tools preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with field teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to store operations, project coordination, or retail environments.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience; retail or multi-unit experience
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into clear summaries.
