As a Field Support Engineer, you will provide onsite installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support for complex automation systems. You will serve as the key technical liaison to our customers, ensuring high operational quality and exceptional service delivery.
You will report to the Lifecycle Services Team Leader, Spain.
You will work in a hybrid model based in Barcelona, Spain.
Your Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission complex automation equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and execute preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Provide customer training on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
- Document service activities, technical findings, and recommended actions using defined company procedures.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with customers and internal teams to support project success.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field), or equivalent professional experience aligned to the job profile.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service, technical support, or a related engineering environment.
- Developing professional expertise with the ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Communitive level of English and full working proficiency in Spanish.
- Ability to travel 60% of the time.
- A valid driver's license.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Working proficiency in Catalan.
- Experience installing or supporting industrial automation systems, drives, PLCs, or control systems.
- Exposure to diagnosing and repairing complex mechatronic or electrical systems.
- Experience working directly with customers in a service or technical consulting environment.
- Familiarity with service documentation standards or tools.
