CNC Setup
Summary
Sets-up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) Vertical and Horizontal Mills to perform machine functions on very close tolerance billet machined parts.
Compensation:
$22-$36 Hourly
Schedule:
2nd Shift
Monday - Thursday 4:30PM - 3:00AM

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
- Preps, positions, and secures workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.
- Setup fixtures, install tooling, install programs, enter offsets, and prove out machine.
- Inspects first run piece and makes offsets as required, spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications (including documentation of results).
- Perform other associated duties as needed to continue the productive operation of the company.
- Recommend and help implement any improvements that could be made to the existing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment through 5-S controls (willing to learn 5-S controls).
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utilized, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental related rules and regulations.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of G and M codes
- Knowledge of G D and T blueprint reading
- Knowledge of 3 and 4 Axis Machining Center
- Personally, owned set of Machine Trade tools.
- Able to read and follow written work instructions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to inspect parts with various measuring tools.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position at work station
- Frequently moves parts weighing up to 30lbs.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
- Must be detail orientated.
- Must be able to stand and do repetitive operations for eight or more hours.
