Summary Statement:

The cook at Sun's Out Bun's Out will be responsible for supporting the outlet kitchen chefs and assisting with supporting kitchen staff. This role will work on multiple stations within the kitchen and ensure the preparation and quality of food are to outlet standards.

Summary Statement:

The Restaurant Expeditor at Sun's Out Bun's Out is an individual who facilitates the outward flow of food from the restaurant kitchen to the dining room. Their duties include monitoring the status of orders, finishing the plating and presentation of dishes and following health and sanitation standards.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Checking the accuracy of the preparation of food according to restaurant recipes and/or guests’ request(s).
  • Streamline the flow of food as dishes are produced.
  • Maintain the highest level of food presentation and quality.
  • Take charge of table tickets, coordinating pickups so that every table gets their food in a timely manner.
  • Relay information between servers and kitchen staff, including special requests, delays, or customer complaints.
  • Assist kitchen staff as needed, including minor food preparation or packaging to-go orders
  • Help with stocking ingredients, organizing the storeroom, and reviewing deliveries
  • Maintain cleanliness at the expediting station and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Adhere to all health code regulations and standards.
  • Maintain food and supply inventory and notify management of restocking requirements.
  • Attend and participate in daily briefings or pre-shifts.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Hands-on experience with food prep
  • Food handling training and certifications
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Ability to multitask
  • Calm and focused under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and assertive
  • Passion for customer service and hospitality
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least one year of experience in a full-service restaurant or similar environment.
  • At least 18 years of age

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses
