Job Posting Details
The appointee will primarily be required to provide frontline technical and operational support for the daily events and infrastructure of the Institute. He/She will be required to:
- serve as the primary onsite technical support for events, handling projector setups, audio tuning, and troubleshooting in event venues and offices;
- support the development and maintenance of the hardware and software environment of the Institute;
- conduct routine inspections and maintenance of AV equipment, digital kiosks and electronic displays; liaise with vendors for equipment maintenance and repairs;
- assist in routine uploads and updates for the Institute’s website and digital promotional materials;
- provide proactive support in the planning and execution of events on needs basis; and
- perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least four years of relevant working experience. Having prior work experience in a higher education setting is an advantage.
- Possess sound technical knowledge in AV/IT infrastructure, computer applications, and AI tools.
- Having hands-on experience in event technical support and digital content management will be an additional advantage.
- Demonstrate ability in handling multiple tasks independently, be highly attentive to details.
- A strong work ethic, a proactive work attitude, and a readiness to embrace changes in workflow and workload.
- A service-oriented mindset with sound interpersonal skills, be highly tactful in communications, and demonstrate ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Working outside normal office hours may be required.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to performance and staffing needs.)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
