HEAD OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & IT Purpose of the Role To provide strategic leadership across Business Intelligence and Informa7on Technology by strengthening data driven decision making, digital transforma7on, and technology capabili7es that enable World Vision Malaysia to fulfil its mission more effec7vely. This role ensures the organiza7on leverages data, technology, and innova7on to improve opera7onal excellence, supporter experience, and organiza7onal performance. performance. • Technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and enables staff to work effec7vely. • Digital transforma7on ini7a7ves improve opera7onal efficiency and supporter

engagement. • Monitoring, evalua7on, and organiza7onal learning become embedded across key

projects. • The BI & IT team is recognized as a trusted strategic partner across the organiza7on. Key Areas of Responsibility 1. Business Intelligence & Data Strategy

• Lead the organiza7on’s business intelligence strategy, dashboards, and repor7ng capabili7es.

• Establish data governance, common defini7ons, and data quality standards. • Deliver meaningful insights on organiza7onal performance, fundraising, market

trends, and digital performance. • Partner with department leaders to translate data into strategic decisions.

 

 

 

2. Monitoring, Evalua7on & Organiza7onal Learning

• Develop and implement a consistent monitoring and evalua7on framework across the organiza7on.

• Ensure projects are evaluated and key learnings are captured. • Build organiza7onal capability in evalua7on, learning, and con7nuous improvement. • Provide strategic recommenda7ons based on evalua7on findings.

3. Informa7on Technology & Digital Transforma7on

• Lead the organiza7on’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology roadmap. • Ensure reliable technology services that support business con7nuity. • Champion digital transforma7on ini7a7ves that improve produc7vity and

collabora7on. • Evaluate and implement new technologies that strengthen organiza7onal capability.

4. Leadership & Strategic Partnership

• Lead, develop, and coach the BI & IT team to achieve high performance. • Manage technology budgets, vendors, and strategic partnerships. • Collaborate with departments to iden7fy technology solu7ons that improve

effec7veness. • Contribute as a member of the Execu7ve Leadership Team to organiza7onal

strategy and priori7es. Who We Are Looking For Qualifica7ons & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Informa7on Technology, Computer Science, Business Analy7cs, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, technology leadership, or digital transforma7on, including leadership experience.

• Proven experience leading cross func7onal technology and data ini7a7ves. • Experience managing IT infrastructure, business intelligence pla[orms, and digital

projects. • Experience within the NGO or social impact sector is an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Strategic thinking with the ability to align technology with organiza7onal priori7es. • Strong analy7cal and data interpreta7on skills. • Knowledge of business intelligence, data governance, cloud pla[orms, and

cybersecurity. • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management capabili7es. • Excellent communica7on skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for

non-technical audiences. • Passion for innova7on, con7nuous improvement, and wise stewardship.
