About the Job

As a Measurement Technician at DeepDrive, you will play an important role in ensuring the precision and quality of our components, tools and prototypes. You will create and maintain measurement programs, perform tactile and optical measurements and provide reliable measurement results to our Engineering and Production teams.

You will work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Production, Process Development and Quality. You will support us in measuring and evaluating parts, components and tools quickly, precisely and in line with our technical requirements.


Your Tasks

  • Analyze technical drawings, CAD data and specifications for components, subassemblies and tools

  • Create, maintain and optimize measurement programs, especially with Zeiss CALYPSO for our Zeiss Contura coordinate measuring machine

  • Perform tactile and optical measurements on components, prototypes, production related parts and tools

  • Work with measurement systems such as Zeiss, Keyence and other relevant measurement equipment

  • Define suitable measurement strategies based on drawings, tolerances, datums and GD&T requirements

  • Evaluate measurement results, identify deviations and create clear and easy to understand measurement reports

  • Conduct or support occasional measurement system analyses, including repeatability and reproducibility studies, to ensure reliable measurement results

  • Maintain measurement systems, coordinate measuring machines and related equipment according to maintenance plans to ensure accuracy, availability and long term reliability

  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Process Development and Quality to clarify measurement requirements and results

  • Contribute to the further development of our measurement processes, documentation standards and measurement setups


Your Profile

  • Completed technical training, further education or a comparable qualification (for example in metrology, industrial mechanics, machining, mechatronics, precision mechanics, technical product design, quality assurance or mechanical engineering)

  • Experience in tactile measurement technology and working with coordinate measuring machines is a strong plus

  • Ideally, experience with Zeiss coordinate measuring machines, stylus systems and Zeiss CALYPSO

  • Experience with or interest in optical measurement technology, for example Keyence or comparable systems, is a plus

  • Confident in reading technical drawings and good understanding of tolerances, datums, references and GD&T requirements

  • Basic understanding of measurement data evaluation and statistics

  • Structured, precise and reliable way of working

  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working across different teams

  • Very good German skills and good English communication skills

  • Willingness to work on site, as this role is closely connected to our measurement systems, workshop and production environment
