Our client is a well-established and highly respected electrical contractor with over 25 years of success delivering large-scale commercial and industrial projects across Queensland.

With a strong pipeline of landmark construction projects secured across South East Queensland, they are currently seeking a motivated Business Administration Trainee to join their team on the Toowoomba Hospital project.

This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start or further develop your career within the construction industry while working alongside an experienced Project Administrator in a supportive team environment.

The Opportunity

This role will see you supporting the day-to-day administration functions of a major commercial construction project. You will gain hands-on experience across project administration, document control, coordination and general office support while completing a Certificate III in Business Administration.

Whether you are just starting your career or already have a few years of administration experience, this opportunity is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow and build a long-term career in a professional construction environment.  The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Provide day-to-day administration support to the project team
  • Assist with document control and project filing systems
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules and project correspondence
  • Data entry and maintaining accurate project records
  • Support onboarding and site administration processes
  • Liaise with internal staff, suppliers and subcontractors
  • General administration and office coordination duties

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, motivated and eager to build a career in administration within the construction industry.  You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail and bring a positive, team-focused attitude to the role.  To be successful, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous administration experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • A professional and positive attitude
  • Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Business Administration
