We’re hiring an Executive Chef to join our culinary team supporting the Texas Rangers baseball team in Arlington, TX.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct the food preparation for all Texas Rangers home games during exhibition games, regular season, and post-season
- Collaborate with the performance team & dietitian(s) to develop menus and recipes
- Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of meals that align with KitchFix and Rangers standards:

- Specialized meals including dietary restrictions
- Organize, coordinate, and prepare food for up to 60-100 people per meal period
- Manage and maintain all-access snack, beverage, and recovery stations in the clubhouse
- Hire, manage, and train season-based Rangers-dedicated staff that is capable of handling the workload of an MLB season
- Participate in corporate initiatives and be a strong member of the KitchFix culinary leadership team
- Write weekly schedules according to the MLB schedule
- Track & manage account budgets, being a good steward of clients' budgets
- Serve well-rounded menus that feature Dominican, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, and Cuban cuisine regularly
- Be responsible for the ordering and receipt of all purchased products
- Promote and exemplify a culture that is rooted in positivity and humility
- Oversee food safety & handling procedures within the kitchen & dining
- Oversee the record-keeping system for temperatures
- Oversee the cleanliness of workstations, storage area, and kitchen
- Be a good partner to the Texas performance team, specifically the Home Clubhouse Manager and MLB Dietitian
- Support nutrition interventions for medical need players
- Ensure products are in stock for all refrigerators, freezers, and pantries
- Ensure proper ingredient allergen labeling
- Keep up to date with current food trends, new products, and emerging cuisines
- Develop and maintain a positive rapport with the players, coaches, and staff
- Work in tandem with the client for any special event during the season that is outside of regular scheduled games i.e. anniversaries, family days, practice days
- Organize, prepare, and coordinate in any 3rd party catering that arises for the Rangers or other opportunities at the ballpark
- Participate in off-season activities such as press conferences, staff meetings, and others on an as-needed basis
- Dedicate up to 3 weeks of travel to Surprise, AZ, to support spring training operations, as well as building relationships with the club (February/ March)
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years as an executive chef with food preparation, food safety, and customer service experience
- Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management
- ServSafe food manager certification and allergen certification
- 1+ year of sports-based culinary experience with collegiate and/or professional athletes preferred
- Experience coordinating catering with local restaurants preferred
- A working knowledge of baseball preferred
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment and good knife skills
- Experience writing client-specific menus
- Strong creativity, desire to learn, and interest in building healthy meals with lots of flavor
- Ability to develop, document, and follow recipes
- A working knowledge of culinary nutrition, and have the ability to adjust recipes and menus to fit an athlete’s nutritional needs
- Experience ordering and receiving food from local vendors
- Strong financial acumen and experience working with a P&L account
- Confidence in working with clients who have food sensitivities and allergies
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Perform the physical demands – Remain on your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, withstand high temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop

Work Schedule:
- Ability to work non-standard work week that closely aligns with the home game schedule for the Texas Rangers, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
