**Position Overview**
The Professional Department (Technical Department) is a cross-cutting function at OlamAid. It serves as the guardian of quality and standards, maintaining advisory authority across all organizational functions.We are seeking a manager to lead a team of professional coordinators and advisors. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure that OlamAid’s interventions are evidence-based, ethically sound, and aligned with global aid benchmarks.
## Tasks
**Key Responsibilities**
**1\. Standardization & Methodological Leadership**
- Knowledge Hub: House and develop expertise in core sectors including MHPSS, Resilience, Emergency Response, DRR, and Food Security.
- Methodology Design: Translate global standards into practical, field-ready toolkits and protocols.
- Shared Language: Maintain consistent professional language and delivery quality across the organization.
**2\. Professional Advisory Support**
- Cross-Cutting Oversight: Advise all departments to ensure high-standard project implementation.
- Proposal Design: Provide technical input on development proposals to ensure feasibility and "high-proof" design.
- Operational Support: Guide teams in bridging the gap between field constraints and best practices.
**3\. Safeguarding**
- Safeguarding Lead: Ensuring a robust and comprehensive safeguarding framework is integrated throughout all OlamAid operations
**4\. Quality Assurance & Learning**
- Impact Monitoring: Measure deliveries against professional benchmarks to ensure intended impact.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead the refinement of methodologies based on evaluations and emerging global trends.
## Requirements
**Candidate Profile**
**Education & Academic Background**
- Advanced Degree (MA/PhD): International Development, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Specialized Training: Proven expertise in International aid Standards (e.g., Sphere, CHS) and Safeguarding protocols (PSEA, CP, SH).
**Professional Experience**
- Senior Technical Leadership: 7+ years of experience in the humanitarian or social-impact sector, specifically in technical advisory or department management.
- Methodological Design: Proven track record of developing project methodologies, toolkits, and organizational ethical codes.
- Multisectoral Knowledge: Experience overseeing diverse thematic areas (MHPSS, Community Resilience, Emergency Response, DRR, and Food Security).
- Strategic Design: Experience partnering with grant teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and evidence-based.
- M&E Proficiency: Ability to review evaluation methodologies to ensure they meet global benchmarks.Advanced Writing: Excellence in documenting professional protocols and organizational position papers.
