Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Yearly Learning Plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with parents and therapists to integrate and support students.
- Provide direct instruction to students in small groups of 1:3 or individual settings, utilizing various teaching strategies and techniques.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction to ensure academic growth and development.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student performance and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or a related field.
- State teaching certification
- Experience working with kindergarten through second-grade students.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and their educational implications.
- Experience collaborating with support staff, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, ABA providers, and other related service providers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
