Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior C# .NET Systems Engineer (Azure DevOps & Automation) to join a leading enterprise environment in Sandton on a 12-month contract.
This role combines C#/.NET software development, test automation, Azure DevOps integration, and systems engineering support. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable solutions, enhancing automation capabilities, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and supporting enterprise production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Build and enhance automation solutions and test automation frameworks
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Selenium preferred)
- Integrate test automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Manage test execution using Azure Test Plans
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
- Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and automated testing
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting
- Support production environments, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business teams
- Adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards
- Contribute to Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Experience with Selenium test automation
- Experience integrating automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of Azure Test Plans
- Experience in automation development, scripting, or process automation
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development
- Database experience with SQL Server or similar
- Experience with Git version control
- Understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies
