We're looking for a caring, organised and customer-focused Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our friendly team at our Auchenflower clinic on a permanent part-time basis (4 days per week).

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring our clinics run efficiently. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver a seamless patient experience for people undergoing cancer treatment.

About the Role

As a Patient Services Officer, you'll provide high-quality administrative support to patients, clinicians and the wider team while ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and creating a warm, professional first impression.
• Managing incoming phone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
• Scheduling consultations and follow-up appointments.
• Registering new patients and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Preparing patient documentation and ensuring records are complete prior to appointments.
• Scanning and managing clinical correspondence and referrals.
• Supporting doctors and the multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Monitoring patient flow to ensure clinics operate efficiently.
• Processing patient admissions and discharges.
• Providing administrative support to ensure a positive patient experience.

We're interested in hearing from people who:

• Demonstrated experience in a patient‑focused administrative or customer service role (healthcare experience highly regarded).
• Strong communication skills with an exceptional phone manner.
• High attention to detail and confidence managing patient records and systems.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with medical administration systems and Medicare billing processes is desirable.
• Diploma of Medical Administration or equivalent experience preferred.
