Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director to lead our Research operations team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the market research industry, with a strong background in project management, survey design, programming, data processing, team leadership, and strategic management. The purpose of this role is to set the strategic direction for the team, taking ownership of the overall Research and Survey Analytics discipline in the market and liaising with other channels to ensure an integrated response to people-based marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Lead and manage research operations teams providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship.
•
Collaborate with senior management, researchers, and project managers to align operations with business objectives.
•
Oversees, monitors and evaluates the operational performance by directing the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources.
•
Designs, develops and implements short term and long term business strategy.
•
Provide corporate level direction for new products, solutions, services, processes, policies, standards or operational plans based on business strategy.
•
Translates business strategy to an operating plan for respective function/sub-functions.
•
Ensures profitable growth for the organisation by preparing and implementing operating plans in line with the overall business plans
•
Directs all aspects of the day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance with the corporate objectives, strategy and plans.
•
Ensures existing service offerings are continuously upgraded with innovative solutions that are market oriented and enable the function to continuously climb the value chain
•
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery.
•
Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
•
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency.
•
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic goals and objectives.
•
Leads, guides, coaches, engages and develops a team of Business Managers with operational responsibilities to ensure that organisation achieves its business objectives.
•
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the teams.
•
Identify market trends and opportunities.
•
Provide insights to support product development and marketing strategies.
•
Represent the Operations teams in senior management meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
•
10+ years of experience in managing large teams within the market research industry.
•
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
•
Proven track record in strategic planning and execution.
•
