Description
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient business operationsOversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimum stock levels at all timesCollaborate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate ordering of productsMonitor sales trends, analyze data, and make recommendations to improve sales and profitabilityTrain, mentor, and motivate store staff to provide exceptional customer service and achieve sales targetsManage and schedule staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage during peak business hoursConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team membersHandle customer complaints and resolve any operational issues in a timely and professional mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environmentEnsure compliance with health and safety regulationsCollaborate with marketing to develop and implement promotional activities and events to drive salesPartner with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and servicesIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to increase efficiency and profitabilityReport directly to the store owner and provide regular updates on store operations and performanceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field2+ years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in the outdoor industryStrong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a teamExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsSound knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and retail operationsAbility to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on sales trendsPassion for the outdoors and knowledge of outdoor equipment and apparelProficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systemsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as requiredAt Pine Needle Mountaineering, we are committed to providing our customers with exceptional service and high-quality products.
