Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Center Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of a critical IT environment. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in data center support, vendor coordination, and incident handling.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the data center to ensure stable system performance and uptime
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, repairs, and on-site support
- Handle incidents and service requests, including basic troubleshooting and escalation
- Monitor systems and help identify potential risks or issues early
- Maintain simple documentation, reports, and inventory records
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data center / IT infrastructure support
- Basic knowledge of servers, network, or data center environments
- Familiarity with data center facilities (e.g. power, cooling) is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage routine and emergency maintenance operations with vendors
- Exposure to monitoring tools or cloud platforms
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including documentation and process tracking
- Responsible, proactive, and able to handle tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Candidates with 5+ years of experience in data center operations support, along with project management capabilities, will be considered for a Manager-level position
