About Axine Water
Axine Water Technologies is redefining how the world eliminates PFAS and other persistent contaminants from wastewater. electraCLEAR™ systems treat industrial wastewater at customer sites across the US and Mexico, and demand is growing fast.
About the role
We're hiring a hands-on Assembly technician and Project Coordinator to keep our commercial system builds moving, from purchase order to factory acceptance test. The split is roughly 50/50: half on the shop floor receiving, staging and assembling containerized treatment systems and overseeing trade contractors, and half at the desk running schedules, procurement and build documentation. You report to the VP of Engineering and work closely with our engineering team, so you can focus on getting systems built well, safely and on time.
Shop floor (~50%)
- Lead mechanical assembly of containerized process systems (pumps, tanks, reactors, valves, piping supports and instruments), working hands-on alongside the team.
- Coordinate piping and electrical trade contractors on the floor: sequencing, daily priorities, quality and site rules.
- Receive and inspect incoming equipment and materials against POs and specifications; flag damage, shortages and nonconformances.
- Kit and stage materials against the BOM, and maintain spares inventory and stock records.
- Run in-process inspections, maintain punch lists, and support pressure testing and factory acceptance testing.
- Own assembly QA: develop and maintain inspection checklists and test plans (torque, alignment, leak and pressure tests, wiring and labelling checks), verify each build against drawings before FAT, and keep QA records and nonconformance reports.
- Modify and upgrade our in-house pilot system to integrate new technologies and design improvements from the engineering team as we commercialize them: plan and carry out mechanical changes, coordinate trades, and keep as-built records current.
- Own assembly facility safety and audit readiness: housekeeping, tool and storage organization, first aid and emergency supplies, forklift inspection records and monthly walkthroughs. Help develop and enforce safety standards at the facility.
Desk (~50%)
- Build and maintain production and project schedules for multiple concurrent builds; track progress and flag risks early.
- Support procurement: prepare RFQs, compare quotes, issue POs and expedite suppliers.
- Coordinate external fabricators and suppliers on scope, schedule and quality.
- Check and maintain BOMs, build packages and as-built redlines to Axine document control standards.
- Identify ways to make production safer, faster and cheaper.
