Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master. This job is located in Washington D.C. and will be Hybrid. The Scrum Master will lead Agile teams in the delivery of technology, digital modernization, and business transformation initiatives while driving continuous improvement and Agile best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, Agile methodologies, and enterprise-scale technology programs in Washington D.C. supporting a DOJ Program.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master include:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives while ensuring Scrum best practices are followed.
- Coach Agile teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum, Kanban, Lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage project planning, risk mitigation, dependency coordination, release planning, and delivery tracking across multiple initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to communicate project status, remove impediments, and align priorities with organizational goals.
- Lead Agile transformation efforts, mentor junior Agile practitioners, and promote high-performing, self-organizing teams.
Qualifications for the Scrum Master include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, project management, or related leadership roles.
- 5+ years of experience facilitating Scrum teams within enterprise environments.
- Experience leading technology, cloud, software development, digital transformation, or modernization initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DevOps, and Agile delivery best practices.
- Experience managing project schedules, stakeholder communications, risks, issues, dependencies, and release planning.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, facilitation, organizational change management, and servant leadership skills.
- SAFe Certification and PMP Certification are highly preferred.
Compensation for the Scrum Master:
- Salary range: $140,000 - $200,000 *depending on experience*
