Description
Independent Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist – Home Visits in London & Online Sessions (Self-Employed, Flexible).
Medelit, a top-rated private home healthcare provider in London, is looking for experienced Speech and Language Therapists to join its clinical team, working with children and families at home across London and online.
Requirements:
- Full HCPC registration and the right to work in the UK.
- RCSLT membership (ASLTIP membership is a plus).
- At least 2 years of paediatric clinical practice in the UK after qualifying.
- An Enhanced DBS check with children's barred list (ideally on the Update Service) and current safeguarding training.
- The confidence to assess and treat children on your own, from early years to school age, and to coach and work closely with parents.
- Professional indemnity insurance (or willingness to arrange it).
The role is ideal for SLTs working in the NHS, in schools or in independent practice who want to add flexible, well-paid independent work. It also suits those who want to build their own private caseload without the costs and admin of running a practice.
Details:
- You set your own fees. Families choose their therapist by profile, qualifications and fee.
- You decide when and where you work. Choose the London areas you cover for home visits, offer online sessions, or do both. Give availability only when it suits you. No contracts, no minimum hours.
- We handle the admin. Our booking team speaks to families first, arranges appointments around your availability, sends you your schedule in advance and does all the billing.
- The work is varied. You'll see children from toddlers to teenagers with speech sound difficulties, language delay and DLD, stammering, autism and social communication needs, and language-based learning difficulties. Sessions take place at home, at nursery or school (by arrangement) or by video call. Experience with AAC, paediatric feeding or EHCP reports is a plus.

- This is an independent, self-employed position. The more availability you give, the more families we send you.
