Lead People. Drive Production. Make an Impact.

Windings is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at our New Ulm facility. This is an opportunity for a strong people leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing employees, solving problems, and delivering results.

As a 100% employee-owned company, we're looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and helps build a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Daily Production: Establish daily priorities, communicate expectations, and ensure employees have the resources needed to meet production goals.
  • Drive Performance: Monitor production against the plan, identify gaps, and take action to keep operations on track.
  • Support Your Team: Provide visible, hands-on leadership on the production floor, coaching employees and building a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Reinforce safe work practices, quality standards, and consistent execution of established processes.
  • Solve Problems: Identify production challenges early and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments to remove barriers.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage employee ideas, address recurring issues, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams of 10 or more employees.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage employee performance, attendance, and accountability.
  • Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to support extended hours or weekend operations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

What Makes You Successful

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy spending time on the production floor and working directly with employees.
  • Take ownership of results and follow through on commitments.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently.
  • Address challenges proactively rather than waiting for problems to escalate.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable while maintaining a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Are passionate about developing people and improving manufacturing operations.
