Home Caregiver- Elgin

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive Caregiver to provide dedicated in-home support for a client in Elgin. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, comfortable, and dignified living environment while providing consistent personal care and daily living assistance across a 7-day schedule (35.5 hours/week).

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance: Assist with essential activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, and personal grooming.
• Health & Wellness Support: Provide timely medication reminders and observe general physical and cognitive well-being.
• Errands & Nutrition: Handle grocery shopping, pick up supplies, and run essential local errands as needed.
• Homemaking & Upkeep: Perform basic household tasks, light housekeeping, laundry, and kitchen upkeep to ensure a clean living space.
• Companionship & Direct Care: Provide respectful, supportive provider care tailored to the client's routines and personal comfort.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health care, personal care assistance, or family caregiving preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work a 7-day schedule totaling 35.5 hours weekly.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and high empathy.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for errands and grocery shopping).
• Ability to pass a standard criminal background check.
