About the Role

This role focuses on ensuring that residential communities meet established safety, sanitation, accessibility, and compliance standards. It's a strong fit for candidates with a background in inspections, property maintenance, building systems, or code compliance — and a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact for the people you serve.

What You'll Do

  • Inspect apartment units, common areas, and building exteriors across multiple communities
  • Document physical housing deficiencies with accurate notes and photos
  • Apply HUD NSPIRE and other applicable housing standards during inspections

  • Maintain organized inspection schedules and records
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with residents, housing partners, and colleagues

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout western Pennsylvania
  • Observant, organized, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong documentation skills and professional communication

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: HUD NSPIRE standards, HOPWA, Fair Housing, accessibility requirements, affordable housing programs, building systems, property maintenance, or local housing codes. No prior expertise required — candidates willing to build proficiency within one year of hire are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

  • Early wage access — up to 50% of earned wages before payday
  • Affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families
  • Employer-paid short-term disability and life insurance
  • Generous PTO
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Free parking, pet insurance, and renter's insurance
  • Employee referral bonuses
  • Mentorship and apprenticeship opportunities in HUD housing and inspection standards
